Brown vs. Northwestern

Hi everyone,

So I’ve been stuck on this decision for many months now. While I’m leaning towards Brown, I am also worried that Brown’s career aid is not very strong. I am leaning towards a finance/investment banking type of a career, and Northwestern seem to have an edge in that respect, as it does have a stronger career recruitment system, Kellogg, and being close to Chicago. I’m wondering if anyone have more insight on post-graduation career at Brown and Northwestern. Anything is greatly appreciated.

P.S. I am majoring in Economics (most likely), so anything regarding the quality of the Economics department would be helpful too.

Brown definitely has an edge in I banking due to the fact that it is an ivy.

Yes, Goldman Sachs would rather hire a candidate from Cornell than one from MIT for the exact same reason.

Also, college freshmen know a great deal about how IB recruiting works.
