BS Chances

Hi, My name is Benjamin Chow and I am an 8th grader in Shanghai American School. I am applying to Andover, Exeter, Lawrenceville, Hotchkiss, Deerfield, and Choate.I have very good grades, 2256 for the SSAT (773 verbal, 761 math, 722 reading), great essays, and my ECs are as follows:

Swimming (three records, fastest in my grade)
Choir (3 honor choirs before)
Piano (Grade 7 ABRSM)
Guitar
Community Service (teaching kids english)
Photography
Music Theory (Grade 5 ABRSM)
Debate/Discourse group called Inspiration Generation that involves building wind turbines around our school to create a greener environment.

Anyway, how are my chances?

Your chances as an american expat kid in china are better than as a chinese citizen in china. But applicants from china, regardless of nationality, are in a very crowded applicant pool.

Those are all VERY competitive schools to be admitted into. If it is urgent for u to enroll nxt year, then I would consider a broader range of school selectivity.

Have u visited the schools? That makes a difference to the schools.

Yes, I have visited all schools, but I am actually Australian. :)
