B's in Math and Science

Hi all,
I'm planning on applying to the University of Chicago as a political science major. I have good test scores (2350+ on the SAT and 750 x 3 on SAT II's) but my gpa is on the lower end. (3.78 UW and 4.2 weighted but I'm still in the top 10% of my class.) All my B's are in the areas of math and science and although these subjects are not my strongest, I took the hardest possible course rigor. (I finished AP Bio sophomore year and AP Calc BC junior year)
I was wondering if I should dedicate the additional information section on my common app to highlighting this trend and explaining how I chose to challenge myself despite not being a math/science person.
Do you guys think this is a wise choice or should I avoid talking about my B's in an essay?
