BS in physics to MS in engineering?

If I were to go to a college that does not offer an engineering degree unless you follow their 3-2 program, would it be possible to major in physics for my undergrad and then go on to grad school and get a masters in engineering? Would I be able to get my masters in 2 years still? Would I be marketable/employable as an engineer to companies or would I be at a disadvantage?

Yes you could but you will have to take some remedial courses and it is likely to cost some additional time.

it depends on what type of engineering, and your location. the area in which you live might not have many jobs in the particular engineering degree you get. try to look at what the job market is like specifically for wherever it is you plan on living.
it’s possible, my cousin did it. he definitely suggested i major in engineering as an undergrad or at least double major or minor or take some classes on engineering software. he told me that even if it takes you an extra year or two to accomplish this, that it would definitely pay off in the long run. one of his classmates did this (physics major, became a double major in engineering during his senior year, had to spend 1-2 more years to get that done, but had a job after graduating). my cousin’s been struggling in the job market for a while because he didn’t have that undergrad engineering knowledge of all those engineering software and stuff like that. he said that undergraduate engineering majors were able to find jobs much more quickly. it’s just a matter of knowing the software and design stuff because that stuff will be on the job and it’s what businesses want. just be mindful of that and try to get experiences that’ll help you become a competitive applicant for jobs and what not.
