BS/MS program

Are there any benefits of doing a 5 year program that allows you to obtain your Bachelor's ans Master's in 5 years?

In my experience the requirements for the degrees will be the same if they were done separately but you can start the master’s degree while finishing the bachelor’s which saves time + money. Which is an advantage.

Yeah I heard its a great money/time saver!

Just make sure that where you got ur BS is good enough to get an MS.

Do all BS/MS programs require a thesis/research project, as with many traditional MS programs? The one at my school just required more graduate level courses.

laurezer, not all full time masters programs require a thesis/research either.

Oh yeah, definitely not. When I was applying to grad school, I only looked at those with a thesis, so I wasn’t sure how common it is in general, or in different engineering majors.
