I liked Deerfield a lot and from a guy's perspective, the girl's there were the best looking. Heeheehee. :-)

re best looking, how many schools ask for the "optional" photo? i think exeter and deerfield requested pics.

What are the pictures for?

mcskittlZ, what else did you think about Deerfield? Attractive girls is really important ;)

Deerfield is the school that is the most different from the others i am applying to (AESTC). It is a bit more rural (not nearly as bad as Hotchkiss though) but in a comfortable way. The new science center was awesome. The course offerings were unbelievable. The dorm rooms were nice. My tour guide was great. If you're not looking at it (i don't think you are jonathan) i'd highly suggest giving it a second look. I know it may be a bit late but it's worth it. Attractive girls is not as important as the academics but it's pretty important. That got a 10 in my book. haha.

Nice!! I'll look at it a little more. Thanks :)

guys are so pathetic.

i can't believe we are discussing which schools have the hottest people. wow.......shakes head LOL.

NeLLyRaE
how hot the guys are is important too! =) haha
im assuming youre applying right?

well, of course it's important, i just find it comical. hee hee hee.

i think the pictures are used mainly to help the committee recall a student from an interview.

Hot guys are just a perk! :)
I never thought of SGS as a party school!

What would L'ville be?

Hehe :-)

I really don't know. Have you been there yet? I cannot wait for my visit.

what's milton's personality? from the reception I got a really nurturing artsy feel.

try going to an all girls school. as one friend put it "I'm friends with four boys and two of them are my cousins"

Sorry to revive such an insanely old thread but I thought this was post worthy =)
The Exonian came out with some statistics in the issue i received as to.... I'll just post it
Students: 72% support obama, 7% undecided, 21% support McCain
Faculty: 88% support obama, 6% undecided, 6% support McCain

The only numbers out of those i remember for sure are 72 and 88, if anyone really wants to know the others for sure, just ask and I'll go get the article

Exeter-nerdy, liberal, competitive

Andover-preppy, incoming students were probably in the "in" crowd during middle school

What about Westminster, Hotchkiss, and Loomis?

Senay: talking to an Andover student, she says there really is not much of the "preppy stuff" there. Not sure what the broad generalization of your second comment means.

Ahhh!!! My favorite school used to be Exeter, but now I think I might like Deerfield better! Everyone seems to generalize Exeter as the one with all the nerds... is it true? or just like over-exaggerating?

They just sound like a lot of up tight people..idk know though. Just from what I've heard...

yikes. :( I guess I'll worry about that if I get in. :D To be frank, I think that would be an nice worry. "Oh, I got accepted into all of the schools I applied to; it's so hard to decide which one I want to go too!" :P
