Awwww.... Maybe the incoming freshmen next year?? PLEASE? haha.

yea, idk when i hear a freshman dating a senior, i find it weird cause theres a 4 year age difference (usually). but i shouldnt exactly be talking because im dating a senior. it's just when im with him.....he seems my age and he's immature. it's like with my best friend who's older. shes not a virgin and it's weird because i see it like a 10 year old having sex. shes sooo immature. i can't imagine her being adult aged and starting to do those kinda things

i guess it all depends on perspective.

k just gonna have to say this...............AWKWARD

hahahaha!!

yep sorry!! lol. istoleyournose!! exactly which part was awkward?

Yeah, slightly awkward. Because anyone and everyone can read our immature banter lol.

I guess the ideal would be a repeating freshman (15) dating an early senior (16), lol?

lets move our discussion to the other thread so unsuspecting strangers don't accidentally stumble on to this. :P

Okay this is getting a bit annoying lets move on ! Do you guys know how much money your respective schools lost ?? I know Harvard lost 8 billion (it brings tears to my eyes)!! I wonder how much prep schools lost....

lol kk! im leaving

kafkare

lost cause of what?!?!

mmoynan,

regarding post #87. ideal what?

ideal for post #82

The ideal 'freshman dating senior' scenario.

EDIT: Yeah exactly, things. =]

The recession ... all of these school's endowments are tied (in part) to the stock market and hedge funds. When the markets take a hit so do these schools' endowments. I assume most schools have lost between 20 - 30 % of their endowments. Harvard lost 22% but will probably loose around 30 % when Faust updates us on the latest. If Harvard can loose that much these prep schools have certainly also lost significant amount of cash. I am willing to bet that Exeter no longer has a billion dollars.

^
don't worry; exeter will survive since God's an alum:-).

....okay, enough, i know

As a decrepit 08er, I'm vaguely repulsed at the notion of any of those baby Exonian '10ers being hot. They're children! Children!

Also, where were those hot, smart guys at Exeter when I was there? Seriously? I remember E/a, when Smurf boys would come to our campus, and I would think to myself "Damn. I picked the wrong school!"

I never found age-differences particularly bothersome. When I was a freshman at Exeter, I dated seniors. Now I'm a freshman in college. Dating a senior. Hm. Complex? I will say, though, that the difference between 18 and 21 is far less noticeable than that between 15 and 18, but given the maturity boarding school engenders, even the former is by nomeans insurmountable.

Hahaha. If you were given the choice to start again, would you have picked Andover because of the hot guys, or would you have picked Exeter anyways?

Alas, scholarly concerns trump the pretty, pretty, preppy boys, I'm afraid. I got a fantastic education at Exeter - particularly in the senior year electives, including one brilliant Contemporary Middle East Seminar. I might have chosen to return to the NYC girls' day school I attended - which I really loved, but Exeter gave me a sense of maturity and independence I would never have had otherwise.

That's great! Thanks! But there are SOME hot guys at exeter? right??

^ well, duh.

also, the whole required shirt-and-tie thing makes every guy more attractive by at least 50%.

And to the person who thinks Exeter kids are uptight: AHAHAHA. It's the administration that's uptight. Most Exonians are actually (varying degrees of) insane. And if you weren't when you got there as a freshman, you will be by the time you graduate.
