I’ve already been deferred from Boston College… I love the city and the people. Would I have a better shot at Early DecisionII or Regular? THANKS!

P.S. - a non-legacy from my school got in Early Decision with a 3.1 and seriously LOW SAT scores… No sports or EC’s.

Oh, I think you're in for sure.

ull prolly get in either way so i would only apply if it is ur first choice...good luck! i'm applying EDII!

It depends which school your applying to but I got into CAS with close to the same SAT I, lower SAT II and lower GPA...other schools are harder to get into so it totally depends on that

I'm applying to the College of Arts and Sciences. I'm trying to decide between here and Villanova... I know, two totally different schools. Anyone have any info?

It's kind of like the Boston College comparison: similar sized Roman Catholic school in the suburbs but on a transit line that connects to the city.

Villanova is very different from BU. Its nice to see you are open to a range of options. I know many Villanova grads. Its a decent school and could be a good fit for you. BU would be more sophisticated, and international, if you will, and you might have more varied experiences but Villanova could be more in a students comfort zone than a BU type school since its a lot like HS. So that should be considered. Both great schools. Can't go wrong with either. Both have cold weather though so given you are from Texas, which will also help you get in BTW, be prepared.

Oh... i LOVE cold weather. I'm not applying anywhere in the south. I'm more of a city girl, plus I'm ready to leave high school. I mean, it was great, but I'm really independent and outgoing, so I think I could handle BU. Plus I adore Boston... can anyone tell me exactly how campus-like it is? I've visited, but never with students, so I can't tell how "community oriented" it is. From what I can tell, there are isolated places for students to hang out (dorms, athletic facilities, student unions, etc.). I know it's an open campus, but do you have trouble finding and meeting people? I'm prepared for an Urban environment, but not sure how easy it will be to meet people? Any advice will be great! Thanks!
