Boston University does not offer a BS in Computer Science - only a BA.
Will that hurt me when looking for a profession or when looking to do my masters at a top university?

Not as long as it offers a full range of computer science courses. The difference between a BA and BS varies from university to university, but it is usually the differences are quite small.
Degree title BS versus BA does not matter. The CS courses offered and which ones you take matter.
Will I still receive the same in-depth education as someone receiving a BS at an equally ranked school?
The BU CS curriculum is very in depth - I would recommend taking more CS courses than required - that is basically the equivalent of a BS right there.
Jobs and grad schools will care more about your classes, and specifically for grad school your research.
Are there any other schools you are comparing it to or simply worried about the BS versus BA?
@PengsPhils I am mainly concerned about the BS/BA part of it all and how it will turn out when getting a job in the future
Yeah, don’t worry then. Just take more CS classes.
CS majors at Harvard earn AB (artium baccalaureus = bachelor of arts) degrees.
CS majors in Berkeley’s College of Letters and Science earn BA (bachelor of arts) degrees.
CS majors at Wisconsin may choose either BA (bachelor of arts) or BS (bachelor of science) degrees. The differences are in some of the non-CS general education requirements (math, foreign language, and science) applicable to all students in Wisconsin’s College of Letters and Science.
So don’t worry about your degree title being BA versus BS.
Phew, this has cleared up a lot of my troubles.
Thanks a lot @ucbalumnus @PengsPhils @mathmom !
