BU Advantages: I love Boston, I can experience a new setting away from home, I love the campus, the business program there is great, I love the whole Boston scene, BU was my top choice since the beginning

BU Disadvantages: extremely expensive, and I was only given $5,000 financial aid

Drexel Advantages: I get free tuition, so i would only have to pay for room and board. Co-op program would also be beneficial

Drexel Disadvantages: too close to home, i hate the campus, I dont like philly, and my dad works at the university which is annoying.

If I go to BU i would be taking out a lot of loans, so do you think its worth it?

Drexel is a great school since it has a coop program. BU is not worth the $50k that it will cost you annually to attend. If you honestly love BU that much, transfer in after about two years. That way, you get to reduce your loans and possibly see if you still want to attend BU later on.

Had your father looked into the Tuition Exchange Program? It would have been worth $30,000 a year at BU. Unfortunately, the deadline has passed.

I really can’t answer that. There are limited spots and I don’t know your stats. Maybe you have a sibling who can take advantage of that at a future date?

I think Versii had a good solution for you. You might even end up liking Drexel and want to stay. We toured in December and the tour guide said a lot of students spend a good deal of time over at Penn.

To end up virtually debt free after 4 years of college is a really good thing…
