I am having an extremely difficult time deciding between BU and Tulane. I have done a lot of research into both schools and would be happy at either one, they are also comparable academically. I would also be going to BU with a close family friend who got into their law school, and I already have many friends at Tulane (I’m from Louisiana). Cost wise BU would be <$15k year max (I’d only have to pay Room/Board), while I have not received Tulane’s financial aid offer yet, only a $16k year scholarship. Something major to consider would be the acceptance of my transfer credits seems murky at BU but almost certain at Tulane (4 years v 3). I’m a Political Science major (political economy if I choose Tulane) and plan on going to law school after undergrad. It’s a toss-up right now, what do you guys think?
Hey I’m actually in the same position, choosing between BU and Tulane. I’ve visited Tulane’s campus and I’ll be in Boston after finals so I’m going to wait to decide until then. I really enjoyed Tulane, the campus is beautiful and has a great vibe, but I am kind of worried about the party atmosphere. I’m going to be a public health transfer and both seem like great options but I think I’m slightly leaning towards BU.
@lauren215 It is a difficult decision to make, but I ended up committing to BU this past weekend! For what it’s worth, I made this chart and it really made my decision easier and more calculated than I was actually feeling when deciding haha.
@karan04 yay congratulations! yah ive started a pro con list too and hopefully ill have a ton of pros to add for BU next week when i visit.
