I’m with @collegemom3717 on the whole grains and the roasted sweet potatoes! Love both.
I could eat a big salad every day. That said I do not like commercial salad dressings. Too filled with sugar and other junk. I make my own (easy to google recipes) or just use olive oil and vinegar.
My salad dressing of preference is Garlic Expressions - started local but I believe their reach is farther now. Ingredients not too bad - a little cane sugar but otherwise not too bad. I use it on salads, marinates, etc. I don’t buy much else unless I need another flavor for a recipe.
I love parmesan crisps. Has anybody ever made them at home? I assume you just somehow bake shredded parm (which we buy at Sams, freezing the excess from the large container)
So funny! Yesterday we baked a no-knead bread in big casserole dish. In past we’ve followed the hint to use parchment paper, and I asked my husband whether we should try it without. He said, “what else will we use it for?” … and then today this thread gave me the answer.
No oven temps were mentioned for parm crisp baking … 350? (that’s my default temp choice when unsure).
I’m going to be making a homemade chicken caesar salad this weekend and although I like parmesan crisps, we will sprinkle grated parmesan on the salad already. I really wanted to make homemade low carb croutons, if possible. I just found this bread mix: https://www.amazon.com/Keto-Bread-Zero-Carb-Mix/dp/B08QRTNYLR?ref_=ast_sto_dp
The reviews are universally good and the seller’s website has a recipe to make croutons with the baked bread. Has anyone tried this bread? It looks too good to be true, and it’s pricey. But it also looks better than the dense almond flour bread recipes I’ve seen, so I went ahead and ordered a box. Wish me luck!
Today I bought a new to me product and added it to my salad. Radish sprouts- they were good but pretty spicy. I also picked up a bag of stringless sugar snap peas which also made a nice addition.
