Hey, I was wondering how to take apart the bunk beds? What kind of tools should I bring? Thanks

You should be able to request them, but the only instances I can think of where you would have bunk beds is in a triple, in which case you will not have enough room to make them all singles.

Merrill doubles ( I don’t know if any other doubles have bunk beds although I know Porter and I think 9/10 do not) also use bunk beds which I think you can take apart (I’ve never tried) but you wouldn’t have much floor space. If you’re in a triple though @aleiram51 is right you wouldn’t enough room to take it apart.

Small doubles in Porter have bunk beds according to the sample pictures of Porter rooms. I haven’t seen them personally, though, but even if they were able to be separated, you probably wouldn’t want to. The sample also shows that the small doubles are 10x12. A single is 10x9. One bed barely fits into a single along with the other furniture so I highly doubt that another 30 square feet would allow for a second twin xl to take up floor space and leave room for two desks, two wardrobes, and general living space.

I also agree that unbunking two beds in a triple would not work too well either. If two beds are already bunked in a room, there’s most likely a good reason.
