Bunked Double in Elkton Hall

My roommate and I requested Elkton Hall. We were put in it in a bunked double. I looked on the website and I can’t find a layout of a bunked double anywhere. Can someone please describe it? Thanks!

If you go to the page with your hall http://reslife.umd.edu/halls/denton/elkton/ and scroll to the very bottom of the page, you will see a diagram below the google map. On the left is an image of a “typical room layout” and on the right is the “typical traditional floor.” You can click on each diagram for more details. The room layout shows photos that are not specific to that dorm, but in general. They are helpful to show you the type of furniture to expect and possible layouts you can do.

The diagram on the right, “typical traditional floor,” is specific to that dorm. If you click on it, it will pop up with a blow up of the ground floor layout, and you will note that there are blue arrows to the right of where it says “Elkton Ground Floor”…click on the arrows for a drop down menu. Select your floor, and you will see exactly where your room is in relation to the elevators, stairs, etc…so you will see if you have a corner room and the size of your room relative to other rooms on the floor. Unfortunately, there are no dimensions given, but it’s enough info to give you a sense.

Hope this helps.

My daughter was assigned a double at Elkton but it didn’t say bunked dbl. I was wondering can they use bed risers in this dorm? I know if you want the bed lofted you have to use their service not sure if you have to rent the risers from them too. I did read no cinder blocks but couldn’t find out any other info

Maryversity do you know if it is possible to change your move in time? We live about 6 hours away and plan on spending the night near UMD because I don’t want to deal with NYC during rush hour. We have a 1-3 move in time and would love for an earlier one since we will just be hanging out at the hotel waiting until 1pm.
When we moved my other daughter into Purdue they gave out times but they weren’t enforced. I was wondering how serious they were with times in case we went earlier.

Our move in to Elkton Hall went perfectly. We had everything moved in in less than a half hour. We showed up early and figured we would just wait in line being early but the helpers were already in motion. We were off shopping and having lunch by 11 and gave the roommate plenty of time to move in with us gone.
