What are the differences between these two degrees?
And which one would you recommend in terms of job viability and salary prospects?

Bus admin and econ share most of the same intro courses (business law, macro/micro econ, stats).
Bus admin (which I’m in) will then introduce you to the various concentrations by requiring 1-2 classes in marketing, information systems, accounting, finance, and management. Econ, in contrast, requires accounting and intermediate econ (less variety, more depth into economics).
Both programs have concentrations which will guide your upper devision curriculum (although econ can choose “general econ” instead of concentrating).
You should email the college of business advising center if you have questions, they’re quite responsive.
