Business Administration applicants....

Congrats, guys!

Even though Merage is a realtively new business school, due to demand, Business is an impacted major at UCI. The class entering 09 will be just the second freshman batch (and the last freshman) to get in as declared business majors. From 2010, freshman will be unable to choose business as major -- only pre-business. They will have to apply at the end of winter of sophomore year to get into business major just like Haas at Berkeley.

Approx. 100 students will get into business major as freshman in 2009.

Remember, before UCI launched its program, those wishing to study Business at the undergraduate level had only UCB, UCR and USC as clear choices.

yay i got it

unfortunately, i cant find any good information about the competitiveness of the program. although it takes around 150 students a year, that doesnt mean that the program is super cut-throat

for those of you who got in, what do you think my chances are? 3.9 UC GPA and 2070 SAT. i thought id be in, but i havent heard from them yet and its starting to worry me.

i havent heard anything yet either. i want to know what r my chances too, especially if only 100-150 people r even getting in. i have a 3.3 UC GPA and 30 ACT

I'm not sure if im accepted or rejected. I received this from UCI a week ago:

The university may offer you admission in an alternative major, either as noted on your application or another alternative major, if comprehensive review suggests potential for you to succeed in a specific program of study.

All applicants must submit complete and accurate information in their original UC Applications:For freshmen applicants this includes listing all A-G course grades and courses taken for the correct respective terms for admissions consideration by the filing deadline. If freshmen applicants have repeated A-G courses, applicants must report the original and repeat grades for these A-G courses.

If you are admitted, please be aware that your admission is provisional. Information on your application must accurately match official documents submitted on your behalf, including your successful completion of the courses you listed as follows:Freshmen: courses listed for 12th grade (minimum 3.0 weighted GPA for senior year)

You are being considered for the Business Administration major.
- Preferred Major: BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

My status hasn't been updated since.
Has anyone else gotten this message too?
