I'm currently a sophomore at California State University, Long Beach. I'm currently a business major but haven't exactly chose an emphasis yet. I was thinking either accounting or finance. My goal in life is to live a comfortable lifestyle while still being able to provide for my future family/parents. I've always been interested in how money is made, handled, etc.. I know CSULB isn't the most prestigious school out there, but what are my chances of getting a good paying job at an accounting or finance firm against others from prestigious schools if I try my best to intern as much as possible? I'm also planning to rush for a fraternity next semester, which I hope to make connections with successful alumni.

One thing you can do is to work hard in your school and get good grades. A strong GPA will put you in good position when compete with others in the job market. Also get to know CSULB’s Career Center to make use of all available resources there.
