Business Management Economics?

Since UCSC doesn’t have business administration, I’m guessing my next best bet is BME. I’ve been reading some threads and have found out that BME students go into accounting… I mean, accounting was never in my plan as a career. I was wondering if the BME major could be used in other fields such as marketing? Or if I can use it towards jobs involving finance for like POLA or POLB… Or in the entertainment industry for companies like ABC family (freeform???) and Disney. Yeah this sounds kind of stupid but it’s a serious question. I’ve been stressing out over what to major in because I feel pressured (by family of course) to have a well paying career after college.

Also, aside from accounting, what are careers in Silicon Valley for BME majors? Maybe if there’s something worth while in Northern California I’ll stay there.

Another thing, what’s a good minor to pair up with BME? I was thinking information systems or computer science if I can get into those programs… Math isn’t my strong point but I think I can get by.

A degree from UCSC’s business management economics program (BME) can qualify or lead you into just about any type of business related jobs. You have to go to the UCSC website and view the courses catalog to see the plethora of courses offered and decide on your interest and the courses that you can take to meet your goal of some business occupation.
