Business or Social Work BSW

Hello,
I originally wanted to go into college as a social work major but after much calculation I realized I need to make at least $50,000 to be comfortable. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can do this in social work. I love helping people and everything about it…except for the low pay. Business is interesting to me. I enjoy interacting with people and writing but I am terrible at math. I could see myself possibly in Human Resources or Management. Should I go for a business major? Would it be too difficult? If I did want to go for an MSW in social work, would a business major hinder my chances?

Could you not have a private practice beyond your FT job, of 10-15 hours per week, to strategically significantly increase your income?
