Im sorry guys maybe my friend was a little off on his info… but I hear BU is more liberal than BC?? I totally respect religion… but for a college experience I just wanted a little more freedom thats all…
The good news is their locals are quite close to one another. I highly recommend visiting both (you can probably do both on the same day but I suggest dedicating a day for each so you can get a better feel. In addition to the info session and tour, see if you can meet with a professor in your primary area of interest. See if they’ll let you sit in on a class. Some will , some won’t.
Regarding liberal vs. conservative, it’s a matter of gradation. Think of it this way: Most college campuses tend to be more liberal than the general society. There are a few that are staunch conservative but a very few! All kinds of reasons for this but leave it at the vast majority of professors would identify as left of center (varying degrees). SO safe to assume liberal is going to be in the sauce of both schools. Then add the fact that they’re both in Boston, MA. MA is one of the more liberal states in the country. I realize they draw students from everywhere but you will find their largest single source is from MA. BU has a more international feel so even more liberal.
I would agree that BU will be more liberal but they both will be left of center.
@“Pakshal Mehta” , Case Western is a medium-size school (about 5,000 undergrad, 5,000 grad) in a vibrant and up-and-coming section of Cleveland. I know there’s a good biz school, but for better insight on that, I suggest you post on the Case Western forum. Good luck to you!
