Business vs. engineering

Which is more difficult to be accepted to: the school of business or the school of engineering? Anyone know the SAT's that are required for each?

SAT for engineering would be higher, but business is really popular. But none of that matters. If you want to do engineering, you should not be in business, and vice versa.

True. These majors are total polar opposites. If you want to be an engineer, major in engineering. If you want to… do whatever business majors do… than major in business. (I’m a scientist, I’ve never understood what all those kids do at work all day other than type numbers into excel spreadsheets)

If you’re interested in both equally, then I dunno. Major in engineering. An engineer could go on to get a MBA if they wanted to work more on the business end of things, and that person would be a very marketable job applicant. A business major, however, isn’t going to be qualified to work in engineering, at least not in any technical aspect.

I’m interested in both engineering and business which is why I want to do a dual major in Engineering and Management

By the way, Emily, that’s pretty much all they do. But sometimes, on special occasions, you get to play with the colors on a powerpoint.
