I have always wondered about this. In terms of salary, job placement, and other good stuff, which field is more beneficial/lucrative right now.

probably engineering

Long-term business salary is higher, short-term... engineers make the most of any major straight out of college with a bachelor's. The demand for engineers however is much greater in the U.S. and as I've heard many times American colleges are "producing too many business grads and too few engineer grads."

As far as being beneficial/lucrative... to each his own. I'm an engineering major at A&M so I'm gonna tell you a job as an engineer will be much more rewarding/fun. But it all depends on personal interest and which field of business or engineering you wish to pursue.

at a&m, probably engineering because of their e school's high ranking.
but you shouldn't do engineering if its just for the money, because from what I hear its no walk in the park
