C in Bio, B- in Gen Chem

I am a BME major, and I have thought about Med School. Here are some of my grades in 'pre-med' classes...
Bio (First Semester) - C
Bio (Second Semester) - B
Gen Chem (First Semester) - A
Gen Chem (Second Semester) - B-
O Chem (First Semester) - A
O Chem (Second Semester) - A

My overall GPA is around 3.5, and my major GPA (Engineering Classes) is 4.0

With those slip-ups in the gen science classes should I even try taking the MCATs and applying to med school? Have I lost any shot at med school admission?

PS... I have worked in labs (BME Lab, Cardiac Surgery Lab) for a total of about 12 months...

Thanks!

the two A's are orgo are money. you def a chance and should take the mcats

EDIT:
Physics (for Engineers) (1st Semester) - B+
Physics (for Engineers) (2nd Semester) - A

What school do you go to?

USC (10 char)

You are certainly not dead in the water.

Any other suggestions?
