<p>At HYPM any D or a C or even gr8ter no. of B's ( A-'s If they exist) hurt ones chances .. No matter how gud other parts be.. this may not lead to rejection directly but will go a long way in preventing admission too</p>
<p>I'm out oos for Umaryland, but i don't want to apply to my state school (UCONN) because it's too close to home and my sister already goes there. It wouldn't be the college experience i'm looking for. </p>
<p>No "true" safeties look appealing online, so i guess i'm gonna actually have to visit some of these schools and make the decision based on "feel." I expect that's how most people choose safeties anyhow.</p>
<p>P.S. I just looked on U.S. News, and BU's RD admit rate is 56%. That's 9% higher than it's ED admit rate! Could someone explain this?</p>
<p>FlyinV....OOS, I would say that Maryland is not a safety for you either. U Conn is a huge school. I know many siblings who go there and they never see one another. I would say you need some school on your list that is a very sure thing.</p>
