Caclulus AB; Where are you at?

hahah ecnerwalc3321 ...

I remember the word from my SAT word list thta I failed to memorize 2 months ago. The word was fade in my memory but I just wrote it :D Digress... thnx for correcting me.

My class will finish with 6 weeks + before the test for preperation/review.
we are working on integration by substitution.

Finished integration by substitution, next we do integration by parts or volumes...

no problem:)

We are doing integration of natural logarithmic functions. (Section 5.2 in the 7th edition of "Calculus of a Single Variable")

"We are doing integration of natural logarithmic functions"

Same as us , test tmrw, so only 2 more weeks of stuff then review

My class is using Calculus Concepts and Contexts by James Stewart. We are only halfway through Chapter 4 so far. At the moment we are doing L'Hospital's rule. Our teacher is kind of crazy and makes us come in for special sessions on days off and stuff in an effort to catch up but I am starting to get kind of worried.

My class just took our first test on integrals today, and we just learned how to take integrals to find the area under a curve. By the way, I was wondering if it would be too hard to try to take self-study BC while the rest of my class is studying for AB. Basically, would it hurt to take the BC test while my class is enrolled in AB?

Spator: As you noe, BC is realli just an extension of AB. I heard that if u focus and study hard for around 1 month, u can cover the BC material. Maybe even less...

having a test on areas between curves, volumes by discs/washers/shells, arc length and surface area on monday. we're on our second day talking about "e" and its deriv./integral/etc.

Thanks tlqkf2002.

Finished up ch 4 (integrals) in the "Single Variable Calculus" book.

Anyone else using the "Calculus of a Single Variable" book by Hughes-Hallett for Calculus BC? (I'm taking the college equivalent of BC, not the actual AP course).

The last thing we finished was Trigonometric Substitution for solving Indefinite Integrals.

Finished Chap. 4 Integrals using Thomas. Now on integrals of 3-D objects.

i'm going ultra hardcore mode and finishing off 200 pages of Barrons's calc tonight :D
From limits to definate integrals. i'm not going to get any sleep....

and where are you guy going to be in around 20th of Feburary? THatz when I'll be transfering schools and hopefully be joining an AP calc AB class.

integrals and the substitution method...

bump;;;;;;;;;;

im in the block calc ab and we have to have everything covered in 9 weeks b/c my teacher always spends at least 9 weeks to study for the ap exam so we're definently moving at a fast pace
