Cadet Wing Strenght 2008-2009

It hails from the Airman's Creed...

"...I will nevel leave a fellow airman behind. I will never falter and I will not fail!!!"

If ya ask me they couldve done better...

Oh well, the exemplar replaces it eventually, and I am on the committee and we got some pretty good choices this year... ;)

Alas, none as fine as Robin Olds.

if only yeager was dead... he will be my squad's exemplar at least :)

The Airman's Creed was actually developed after Bush's quote. That is why '09 and '10 do not know the Creed.

Actually, 2012 (Never falter, never fail) is the only class that knows the Airman's Creed. They had the entire wing recite it at the Acceptance day parade and the other classes botched it.

Oh really?

i'd vouch for that :)

But since you are a 4*, you are wrong...

;)

No excuse, sir.

If it was the motto of last year's class it might have made more sense, since it was recently incorporated, but I kind of like it. I was on a AFA info page, something like wikipedia, and looking at past class mottos, this might not be original, but it speaks volumes. I hope next year has an equally solid motto and only time will tell if I am a part of that mix.

Go to Lackland for 6 weeks and recite the Airman's Creed every day...you'll get it pretty quick...even if you did get up at 0300.
Trust me on this one.

If the new Comm doesnt shoot him down, it will more than likely by John Boyd from the amount of support he has.

Haha as far as us knowing it, ehhh we were fresh out of basic... Besides we all know 2012 puts the rest to shame during marching... ;) Atleast in our squad...

A Nellis Warrior if there ever was one! Go Boyd.

i hear ya there ramius... lol

all of the classes were supposed to learn it, and all of the Air Force for that matter. It's just a lot of ppl don't.

I know on the actice side we were "encouraged" to learn it quick. Apparently the chiefs group made some kind of announcement to reward us if we knew it. The other thing is that they are/were trying to get everyone to accept that we are Airmen first and comm/SF/mechanics second. I think they are still working on that bit.

The PTB would approve Boyd in a heartbeat. His name got tossed around a bit last year, but never garnered that much support for whatever reason.

Olds was an aggressive talented fighter pilot with that challenging defiant attitude (the stache the CSAF told him to remove).

Boyd was an independent brilliant mind. He was also seen as a threat to the PTB.

I remember studying Boyd in MSS. OODA loop! :)

2012....1004....278.....1266

Hmmm. Something is wrong with that picture. Too much time in Calculus perhaps?

Fuzzy math? Or just bad with a keyboard (like me) :)

Saw that post too when it first went up... pulled out the calculator and was like ??? The entire tabulated list is screwed up, I don't know what kind of calculator they used to sort that out but something isn't right....
