Cal Arts, Boston U, Pace for BFA acting

woops. Thx for catching that. Would Pace offer such an opportunity (shadow, or at least sitting in classes)?

One would hope! But don’t know for sure.

Yes, there is a performing arts accepted students overnight (I am a current freshman). I actually was a student volunteer at many of the auditions so I am happy to hear that people are having fun and a good audition experience (I wait outside the room with people auditioning and talk to them/answer questions, and that is something that is always a goal of mine)

@theatrestudent9 - do you know when that overnight is? Thanks for any info.

Just got the call from Pace, son was accepted into BFA program

Ahhh! Congrats @Fatamorgana9 . That is amazing! I’m all nervous now. And I don’t know why as I think my D already made her decision.

@Fatamorgana9 Which BFA program? We are anxiously waiting over here

BFA acting, we just received an email indicating he has been accepted into Chapman University’s BFA acting as well

Regarding Pace, I saw on facebook that one prospective student called the school today and was told that some letters/calls are going out, but it will be little by little over the entire month of March. They have 7 or 8 different majors that Wayne notifies over the month. So, don’t panic if not called today! Sounds like it could be anytime this month or it may come by letter and not by a phone call.

Agreed

Thanks @bfahopeful

The date and registration info will likely be sent out with acceptance letters, but it can also be found here: http://www.pace.edu/admission-aid/undergraduate-admission/accepted-students/fall/admitted-student-events/nyc I would HIGHLY recommend going if you are accepted to a performing arts program, the school of performing arts is a much different experience than a pace experience alone.

Theaterstudent9, could you expand on “Highly Recommend?” my son is accepted, and Pace is a top choice, but he may have a tough decision ahead among a few great schools. Would love to hear a few words from you about the BFA acting program. Plus its a big move for a Southern California guy…thank you;)

absolutely! will message you separately

@theatrestudent9 - I just messaged you, too. Same type of question. My daughter was also admitted to Pace for BFA acting. Thanks for any insights you have.

Hi Everyone. As it seams you all have been pretty successful in your audition processes I had a couple questions. I still haven’t heard from my colleges but I wanted to ask if anyone has been asked to use another monolgue. This happened to me at two auditions. I was asked to do more monologues when they only wanted one. Any opinions on this? Feel free to also message me. I can use all the information I can get.

^^sent you a PM
