Hi everyone,
I’m transferring from another school in CA to a UC school. I’ve been receiving Cal Grant awards for the past 2 years and at my new school, they were supposed to disburse our aid and my Pell Grant and Direct Loans have been disbursed. However, Cal Grant award, which makes up a large portion of my gift aid has yet to be disbursed.
I logged in to the Cal Grant website, and it says my award for this upcoming year has been successfully renewed and it shows the exact amount I’m supposed to receive. However, nothing from my school. I also received an email from Cal Grant indicating I will be receiving their aid. The financial aid office is refusing to pick up any calls and I have no idea what’s going on. Someone I know has stated their Cal Grant has been disbursed for her.
