Cal parties/girls

There are plenty of hot girls in Berkeley but they do not attend the university. Honestly though, there are hot girls here, they are either all taken or are lesbians.

Supposedly though, after being here awhile, you will develop "Berkeley vision" which means ugly girls start looking good. Which gives a whole meaning to the word EEEEKS!@#$%!, I mean EECS.

lmao fortify, you're not kiddin..
And berkeleyboi, do you happen to have something against asians? Dont be so quick to categorize them as "ugly" and "annoying."

as for you ranganz, I suugest choosing the college that offers for opportunities for your major. For example, if you're a Business major then definitely choose Berkeley over LA, but if you're a Media Studies/Film major then go for UCLA, etc.

I heard about the Berkeley goggles, but I don't think they exist, people just like to think they exist. And about the whole "as long as she doesn't have a ring on her finger" comment, I guess I have to agree to the statement. Many of college relationships come and go, like high school, and "taken" girls will be "untaken" after a couple of weeks, or months.

Major-wise, I either want to study film or international relations. I would choose UCLA for film, except that UCLA's film school is next to impossible to get into, so I'd rather go to Berkeley where I KNOW I can study film, and I can also study international relations. USC seems like a nice option, but it is way too damn expensive. I may qualify for in-state tuition at UCLA/UC Berkeley (since my dad lives in Long Beach, CA), so those schools look far more attractive atm than USC. And I really want to go to college in California.

I'm okay with a relatively small population of hot girls, so long as there is just at many (if not less) attractive guys to compete with. I have some game, but I'm no casanova. From what you guys say, though, Berkeley sounds like it will be fine for me. Ruling a small scene actually sounds a lot nicer then being average at a large scene.

Thanks for the comments.

The idea that the girls at Cal are ugly and unattractive only exists on this site, not in reality. There are hot girls at Cal like there are at other schools. There are ugly girls at Cal like there are plenty at other schools. Remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally found Cal girls attractive.

I know some professional models who go to Cal.

If this type of stuff is important for you, USC is definitely the place to go. It's got the big time sports, parties and women. Academically, it gets better every year so you can't go wrong with USC.

Probably the best advice on this entire thread. :)

Which frat do you guys think is the best at Berkeley as far as reputation/parties go? And which sorority do you guys think has the hottest chicks?

Yes there are hot girls at Berkeley. IMO, UCLA girls are so overrated.
B>LA

I'd say both Zeta Psi and SAE are known for being the top houses. As for sororities I would have to say that Kappa, Pi Phi, and DG are all excellent (in no particular order).

ranganz,

im a freshman at cal, and a year ago i felt exactly the same way as you. i wanted to go to a good school, but the party scene and girls were very important to me. i got accepted to cal, ucla, and usc. im not going to pretend that cal has better girls than either of those two schools, but cal is a A LOT better than i expected. i went to a high school with gorgeous girls and a lot of parties, and was scared that i would completely lose that cal, and honestly i couldnt have been more naive. there are big parties every thursday, friday, and saturday. plus they are a lot easier to get into than at ucla or usc. i have dozens of friends at both, and said it is near impossible unless you are a gorgeous girl or a brother in a frat. also in general from my visits to all thre and talking with my friends from all 3, the girls at cal are def the least stuck up and the smartest, not to mention there are very few ******bags here.

if you are a guy, and want the party scene and the girls, i def recommend joining a frat. it completely simplifies your social life, and you will have something fun to do every thurs, fri, and sat. the top 5 are zeta psi, sae, dke, fiji, and pike. the top 5 sororities are pi phi, kappa, DG, chi omega, alpha phi. if you are a chill person, the greek scene is for you, and whats great is that it is not as crazy at is at other schools. everyone is smart at cal, and people here realize that school comes first. i am in a frat, and ive never felt pressured to drink when i need to study, but at the same time i can find someone to drink with if i wanna party on a tuesday nite.

trust me you will love cal, ucla, and usc. it just comes down to which is the best fit for u. goodluck

yep everyone here parties like a rock*

rock. haha. parties aren't the greatest here i have to say though. got into a ucla one and was definitely better. (Just the vibe I guess)...all in all, parties really just all boil down into the same formula.

smartest girls at parties? ehhhh that's stretching to me...but probably are the least stuck up.
you want the hot chicks though...haul your *** to the gym. that's pretty much where i've seen the hotter girls in berkeley.. hahaha

Wow, thanks asub for the primer. Now Cal definitely looks more appealing. If I get in today, then I will definitely give it serious consideration.

this thread is ****ing pathetic.
get over yourself and live your freaking life.
this really just shows how pathetically immature you really are.
grow up.

^I don't get what you're complaining about. The poster is just asking to see if the school fits his criteria, why judge him on that?

IndyofWA, seriously chill, dude. Its a part of my college selection criteria, just like maybe a nice campus or a good college town may be a part of yours. Everybody has their own criteria in choosing a college.

Plus he made a topic hoping not be be judged about having gauged ears and then judges people in this thread for wanting an actively social environment. Kinda weird.

"But remember, you only need one girl."

Could not be more wrong...
