? Cal Poly SLO converting to semesters instead of quarters starting Fall of 2018

I have heard that CP is making the change to semesters. Has anyone else heard of this change?

I found an article from about a year ago that says that Cal Poly Pomona is set to switch in 2018, but that SLO will be “later”, with no date specified.

I’m local to CPSLO and have been hearing this rumor about CPSLO for quite a few years now.
