Cal Poly SLO vs. CSULB (Accounting major)

I got into both SLO and CSULB for accounting. My dream school was SDSU and unfortunately I got rejected from there.
I can’t decide whether to go to SLO or CSULB and would love to hear opinions from others!

I know SLO has a great business program but the lack of diversity bothers me that I’m worried I won’t fit in easily. It actually reminds me of my unbearable high school years where there wasn’t any diversity. I’ve been doing a lot of research for SLO and apparently there have been numerous sexual assaults, which disturbs me! I felt more homey visiting the CSULB campus and could easily see myself there, but I haven’t really heard much about the business program. How good is the CSULB business program? I also got into CSUF and I recently talked to some CSUF and apparently the accounting program is great there too.

Does it even matter with the program since accounting has a good job outlook?

Any input would be awesome!

I think diversity is overrated. Your education is more important than if there are a lot of asians.

I don’t know much about CSULB, but SLO was actually one of my top three choices before I found out how hard it was to switch majors. One of the unique things about SLO is that the school has great connections with businesses and employers. They have job fairs many times during the school year where you have the chance to meet with people who could potentially be your future coworkers or bosses! A lot of corporations actually go directly to SLO to hire new employees. The school has a great rate of students who are employed after graduating, so if finding a job post-graduation is a concern of yours, I’ve hear that SLO takes really good care of their students in that aspect!
