@CSUADTHopeful @TooOld4College @Starkiller I can definitely understand the sentiment. Give CSUN is local in your case and being around people who also end up going and for whatever reason just end up there. It kinda gets a local stigma if you will. Not knocking on the school I’m sure it has some great programs but being around it for so long it gets a certain stigma. Change can be good!

@CSUADTHopeful @Zygole Oooh I get it now. It also happened to me where I applied to Sacramento State but I really didn’t want to go there because most people around my area end up there. I just thought that you had a bad experience with CSUN and wanted to hear about it. I am going to CSUN this fall so that’s why.

And thanks ! @Zygole it was just a really late acceptance, it was the first thing I had heard. But I ended up not passing a class so I won’t transfer with an AAT

@Starkiller Yeaa honestly it’s what @Zygole said. I need a change lol almost everyone I know from the 3 different high schools I attended (I moved a few times) ended up going to CSUN just because everyone from our area gets in, so it was the easy route for them. I want new experiences with new people when I go to a university 
CSUN is a great school, I’m definitely not trying to knock it, I just need the change

I just got denied. It says my gpa does not meet non local requirements

what was your back up plan? and what was your GPA? I’m worried now lol
my gpa was 3.19 when i applied and 3.2 when I sent the transcripts. I also got accepted into UCR for mechanical enigineering.
@jonathan201095 damn… I have about the same GPA… & perfect!! If you’re going there, I wish you nothing but the best at UCR
I called yesterday and they told me you have to have a 3.4 to get in

I was accepted! I have a 3.0 and my major is Econ. I’m so relieved, I was getting SO nervous I took one of my golden fours this semester though as an 8 week class and got an A so they said I still need to submit that to confirm my admission
