Calc 2 and Intro to physics over the summer?

I am a community college student who wants to take intro to physics and calc 2 over the summer (online) but I’m not sure how hard this will be. I’m taking physics this fall so I really wanted to take an intro class before since I’ve never taken physics before. Any advice?

There are typically several different introductory physics courses in college:

  • Calculus-based for physics and engineering majors. Math prerequisite: calculus 1, calculus 2 (may be taken concurrently). Commonly recommends prerequisite of high school physics or preparatory physics.
  • Non-calculus-based or light calculus-based for biology majors and pre-meds. Math prerequisite: calculus 1.
  • Non-calculus-based for general education. No math prerequisites.
  • Preparatory physics, similar to high school physics to prepare for calculus-based physics for physics and engineering majors. Math prerequisite: high school algebra and geometry.

Which one?

Taking the first one of the above could be difficult if you have not had any physics course before.

The only pre req for this class is high school algebra.
