Hi, I’m a freshman at CC, and I was thinking of taking Multi-variable Calc, Chem 1 and Physics 1 for the Spring semester. Do you guys think this would be too overwhelming? I do have an educational plan to fulfill all the GE classes within two years, but I thought I should primarily focus on my major prep courses in a consecutive sequence.
For what it’s worth, I thought Calc 3 was light years easier than Calc 2— a whole lot more like Calc 1.
But I do think you’re biting off a lot.
Would those be the only three classes you’d be taking?
Most engineering majors at a four-year university would be taking a similar schedule plus a gen ed or two. If you don’t add anything else I’d say it should be doable.
Those would be my only courses for that semester which is worth 14 units. Cool! I might do that then.
I did that along with english composition. A lot of math/problem sets in all 3 classes but that’s what I prefer (over essays), so if you’re similar, you’ll probably be fine.
