When I applied for the CSUs like Cal Poly and SDSU and calculated my GPA I found it to be 4.17 but my admitted info on SDSU’s website states that it is 4.09. I am worried that I calculated it wrong. Do the CSU’s calculate it themselves or rely on the applicants calculation. I have double checked my calculation over and over and I get the same thing. Am I screwed?

doesnt the csu application calculate the gpa itself? i remember it did it for me.

Anyone else?

Wait, what? I thought they counted ur 1st semester of your first semester of senior year? UCs did 10-11 grades only. Great, now I'm def screwed.

I believe CSU's calculate 10th and 11 h grade GPA's except when stated differently such as Cal Poly who also factors in 9th grade. CSU's can't use your senior year grades as they don't have them when they make their decisions. They may ask for your midterm grades to make sure you are still eligible. Two schools asked D. for mid-term transcripts this year. When S. applied 03-04, none of the CSU's or UC's asked for transcripts and D's gpa is higher than his was. I wonder if this is because of so many applicants.....
