<p>no sane AP Calc teacher would require a TI89, you can do anything through BC on an 83</p>

<p>that's what your question was, and i answered it. no you do not need a ti89 for any lower division math class. if you want one, then that's an entirely different question. (i.e. "yeah I have a similar question. is it helpful to have a ti89 for math20b and chem6a?").</p>

<p>but don't rag on us for answering your question differently then you wanted, when you should have just asked the right question in the first place.</p>
