Calculus AB vs BC for Physics C

So at my school, I have to make a decision: Physics 2 or Physics C. While I’m right at home with algebra and trigonometry, I’m far more intrigued by Physics C than algebra-based Physics 2 topics. My only concern is that I’m only going to be taking Calculus AB concurrently with Physics C, and while that might be sufficient for mechanics, I hear that you need BC content for the EM portions of the course and test. Will I need to self-study a lot if I take Physics C, or will I be fine just taking AB concurrently?

You hear incorrectly. If there is an odd calculus concept that is needed, your physics teacher will over it.

I agree with @skieurope Back in the day, if there was some calculus that was needed that we hadn’t learned already, the physics teacher would go over it. You would learn the basic way to solve that type of equation. I remember later in grad school really learning the mathematics behind it, but in physics it was just more of a recipe but that is all you needed at the time.
