Has anyone here taken it? Is it easier or harder than Calculus BC?

No one has taken it?

JMAN - different calculus sequences will be numbered/lettered differently at different colleges. Calculus may be a 2, 3, or 4 semester sequence, or a 3, 4, or 5 quarter sequence, depending on the college. That means there may be either overlap or a gap btwn their course called "Calc III" and your Calc BC course. You need to get advice from the particular college about which course picks up where Calc BC leaves off. Frequently it varies depending on your score.

Most people take multivariable calculus after Calc BC, so I assume that's what you're really asking. It isn't inherently any harder than single variable. You are applying the same techniques to multivariables that you already learned in the context of single variables. If BC was pretty easy for you, multi will be also.

Thanks texas, I am a rising senior and they just told me to pick this course after BC, I am pretty sure it is Multivariable.

Thanks again.

I thought multivar was easier than BC calc. You're not really learning new concepts, just applying old ones in new ways.

im taking it.

sweet, i hope it's fun

its easy but not fun...and yes its multivariable
