california community colleges in LA that aren't part of the LACC District?

by LA i mean in or close to the city limits of LA, not OC or something like that....the only one I know of is Santa Monica, any other ones??

I’m going to Moorpark College, which is about 25 minutes away from the San Fernando Valley and is part of the Ventura County system.

There’s also Pasadena City College if you’re closer to downtown-ish.

And maybe Glendale Community College? Those are the only 3 outside of SMC that I know of.

Are you close to Citrus college? That is a great school. It’s in Glendora

There are 109 community colleges in California. Here is a link w/ all of them:

you can also take classes through extension at the cal states & uc’s… I’ve taken classes at Long Beach State & Cal State Dominguez Hills. I took Precalc at Long Beach state over their winter intersession and it was 800 or 900. can’t remember… I just took Stats at CSUDH & it was 597… You can even take classes through UCLA extension…

Rio Hondo Community College is by like Whittier or something.

why dont you like the LACCD system? theyre pretty good.

Because they want me to take Geometry AND Trigonometry before taking precalculus. All other cc’s only require trig.

study it on your own and place into it…
problem solved. I placed into calc when I was 16, it’s not impossible.

xelink- great idea. you can watch math videos on youtube… & buy an old book on half.com. youtuble has a professor named patrickjmt that is great!
