Tell me-- what course did you take that was really amazing? I need help deciding! I don't want to waste my summer with some boring class in which all I do is write essays all day long. I am really open to anything that involves writing, journalism, government, that sort of thing. I am absolutely opposed to taking anything related to math or science though.

GOVT S-1925 (Conflict Resolution through Constitutional Engineering): not being offered anymore, but there's another one by the same instructor - American Foreign Policy, also in the Gov category. Highly recommended.

CELT S-132 (Beginning Modern Irish): A golden opportunity to take a really fun language... it's a course that will not make you look bad academically provided you show up and hand in assignments, but, if you really want a firm grasp of the language, you will be able to get it if you put in a significant time commitment.

Principles of Macroeconomics is amazing. If Barbezat is teaching it again I say definitely go for that class. I'm not really a math or science person either but economics turned out great for me.

Beginning Fiction was my other class. Writing stories is always a lot of fun, and the workshop part of the class is really helpful.

Yeah, Barbezat was a great prof. I would recommend macro, not so much micro if Kazemi is doing it again...

Micro and Macro was a great combination for the summer, because you can get As without studying 24/7, leaving a lot of time to hang out in the sun with the cool people that make HSSP great.

what's your opinion on the Law in Society class with Professor Sarat?

Law and Society is a new course this year... it would have been cool to have taken it last year.

what about the theories of globalization seminar?

That's a new one too... congratulations on getting in if you did . The waitlist got so long that they closed off registration :/.
