Just wondering which do you think is the better school for me? Caltech chem engineering, Columbia chem engineering, or UChicago chemistry? I would love to be an academic professor in the future, and i'm really looking for a school where i can have the opportunity to work with professors who are really renowned and knowledgeable in their field. Also, i want to have a fulfilling undergrad experience such that i will not be buried in the books all the time. Advice anyone?

It seems that you like schools which starts with letter C. hahaha…
But I think you should either go to either Caltech or UChicago. cos UChicago is good in artsci and Caltech is good in engineering. Columbia’s engineering isnt that great.

Yeah, if you want to do ChemE, don’t restrict yourself to regular chemistry at Chicago. I think it really comes down to whether you’re up for Caltech… but you said you don’t want to be buried in the books all the time. As Anthem said, “Caltech = buried in problem sets”. So it sounds like Columbia is the best choice.

I would go with UChicago. My friend’s parents are alumni and they are very successful now. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the school and I know you’ll do well there! Given, the other schools are great too, but I’d go with UChicago!
