Are u satisfied w the level of security at your child's school?

What are the theft stats? How open is the dorm/campus access? Are there lockdown drills?

I never give security much thought. The world is what it is. The school takes more precautions than I require. Could something disastrous happen? Sure. Do I ever think about it. No.

One school talked about this during revisit day (school still uses keys for building - not electronic yet). They were working on procedures for a lockdown. Most campuses that we visited were wide open. At least the outdoor space - buildings varied with locking procedures.

It is not something that keeps me up at night. Dorms are locked - kids have keys. Years ago dorms used to be unlocked during the day, and locked when all the kids had to be back for sign in.
