Does visiting a college's campus increase your chances of getting into that college? I'm applying to over 10 colleges, and I don't think I'll be able to visit each one.

I don't think so. Don't visit all of them. I think you can find out just as good information from just perusing the websites of the colleges. I don't think the appearance of the campus should seriously influence your decision to go anyway. I don't think college visits increase your chances; in fact, I don't colleges care at all.

I would think that if you don't visit a campus you should at least show active interest in the school. Also, it would be a very bad decision to enroll in a school without ever visiting, so keep that in mind before acting on acceptances.

I highly doubt visiting a campus will increase your chances at all, but it at least shows you have an interest in the school and just not applying so you can get into a bunch of schools you probably don't plan on attending.

Some colleges consider 'interest' as a factor and keep track of visitors- Visiting isn't the only way you show interest, but it helps at some places.

I did most of my visiting after admissions results (visited three colleges beforehand- a huge reach and two safeties). I ending up getting great finaid from the school I loved the most, so I just visited that one and then was done. The other schools would have been about 50K-100K more debt and they were also not as great of fits. Visiting after results would have been a lot more difficult if my choice hadn't been as clear...
