Can a liberal fit in?

i believe the number is 21% actually... how many are US citizens nd how many are international, i can tgive that breakup

thanks everyone for your replies. it's sweet how i asked a simple question and so many took the time to respond. i guess that really shows how much rice's students care abt rice!

not a problem.. glad we could be of help... :)

"And the Thresher holds up to the Jewish domination of the media."

"I swear that Martel as a proliferation of Jews, and I truly don't mean that in a bad way."

Dorian_Mode and NYSkins1...do you both realize that your comments are kind of stereotypical and racist?? Good job!

My comment was in no way stereotypical or racist. It was simply a comment on the number of Jewish students I've met at Martel (as compared to my experiences elsewhere), and the "I truly don't mean that in a bad way" part was sincere. Also note that the use of the word "proliferation" was meant as hyperbole. How did I even come close to stereotyping? That would require my making a blanket statement with no justification, and I'm really not sure where I did such a thing.

in response to the question about jewish students at rice, i can tell you that there are obviously jewish students, and that I last year attended a really nice passover seder at my residential college.

Sorry Dorian_Mode. Through writing, it is nearly impossible to tell sincerity. Thanks for clearing it up.

As for NYSkins1, your comment was definitely uncalled for.

Finally.. to answer the OP - A liberal can fit in.

Thats all that is necessary for this discussion..
