can a student have two accounts in the common app website?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm international and working on this process all by myself, so sometimes I don't know the answers to the simplest questions.

Anyway, is it possible to register twice, have two different accounts but have the same app? I heard the common app gives you a limit of colleges to apply to, so I'm wondering. Thanks :)

I do not think you can.

I started an account for my son. A couple of weeks later, he came to me and said he couldn’t open an account because there was another account with his name and info. I wrote to ACT and they disabled my account.

Joan52 is correct, you can only have one account. You can have one first year account and one transfer account. If you are trying to create a second account to get around the 20 college limit, it is not permitted.

You can only have one account, but you can create a 2nd copy of your application and submit that to a 2nd group of colleges. Some kids do this if they are applying early a one group of schools, but then want to upload a different essay for their 2nd wave of college deadlines.

So I wanted to apply to this one school and it’s a common app exclusive user ONLY and I can’t because I have my limit. I haven’t submitted my app to two schools but it won’t let me remove them? Anyone knows why?

A school cannot be removed from your list once the application or supplement has been submitted. Have you submitted the supplement for either of those schools?
