This semester, I think I will end up with All A- except one or two class. It’s still all A’s and I know it’s a good grade but could this possibly look bad for top colleges? A- is 3.666 (and 4.666 for AP) in our school so I will have a lower gpa than having All A’s without minuses. I know it’s a stupid question but do you think All a- (just one A) and All A would make a big difference or not that much?.
Yes, you’re right!
There’s no such thing as a stupid question! Are you talking about the top colleges in your state or in the country? Also gpa isn’t everything colleges look at when considering your admission. I’m sure your fine! Also don’t feel like you HAVE to go to a top college. Going to college is an achievement itself!
What are your other years, where does this rank you? Are you thinking of UCs or UMichigan which consider all As the same or ivies or someplace else? What will be your GPA for the year UW. Just list them here if you can. Northeast and midwest top tier privates do not consider an A- the same as an A if that is your question but a few A-s are not the end of the world if your record is great up to now, you get at least a couple of As and your SAT/ACT is excellent.
Not a stupid question.
