Can an amazing SAT score make up for a not so great GPA/rank?

<p>High school grades correlate better than SAT scores with college success. Simply, a high SAT kid with low grades is seen as an underachiever and as not being a hard worker. Many kids step up their game when college comes into view, but their work ethic still looks weak on paper.</p>

<p>You're right though, below the top 15 or so schools a 2300 will go a long way.</p>
