<p>Hi. My daughter is a sophomore at UCLA and a comm studies major. She applied to the major at the the start of her sophomore year. It is very competitive to get into the major. I hope some comm majors will chime in to help you since I am not a student. It is very theory based but the there is an org that she belongs to for undergraduate comm majors that is very active for getting internships and job help. My daughter currently is doing an internship at a PR firm 2 days a week. Until some students help you out you can go to the comm studies website and I am sure you could email them (Christy Bliss, undergrad advisor) for more info.
