Okay, so i live in the new jersey and i attend a private high school. My ethnicity is Asian and i’m roman catholic… I just felt these factors affect my chances too so im just listing this here.
I am part of the Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and National Honor Society (i will be inducted into the social studies honor society in november)
I am receiving a scholarship from school and I always make it to the honor roll
I have been awarded the bronze award in 10th grade for the National Spanish Exam
I have volunteered for 200 hours and received a president’s volunteer service award
I am in the choir (two years)
I have been peer tutoring for math and I started peer tutoring in spanish this year
I have been in the debate team as both a judge and debater
I am an ambassador in my school taking part in open house tour guides
I had a paid job since 9th grade and I am a student reporter for Korea Daily for my third year now
I was able to take part in a summer internship in a CPA office this summer for two months
I have a 710 on US History SAT and 790 on Math II C and a super score of 1430 in my SAT as of now. I am taking the ACT this October. I have a 98.20/100 weighted gpa (my school does not do it out of a 4 or 5 point system) and our school also does not rank and show the unweighted gpa although colleges can calculate it.
I want to double major in sociology and business because I want to become a lawyer in the future, but my priority major will be sociology
I will be applying to NYU early decision and Boston College early action. As of now, I will wait to see if I can get into any of the earlies and apply to the rest regular decision.
I was wondering if you are also willing to recommend more colleges to me because my counselor wants me to apply to more colleges and i’m not really sure which schools I should look into.
Thank you so much!!
