Those videos were pretty useless.

you should use them to get an idea of what schools look like and for a good laugh. but other than that, yeah they are useless.

Haha, yeah I understand what you're saying, but I still think they do give you a feel of what the school would be like if you couldn't go and visit it in person first. And they show dorms and stuff too... you know things like that.
Sorry I don't mean to be a walking advertisement for theu haha.

Everyone's experience is unique but it seems to me that everyone is willing to help each other, there is no bad atmosphere for learning or having a good time, and at the end of the day you get to figure it all out for yourself!

lol, theu is such a joke. its allll about stereotype perpetuating. and more or less, it shows the same thing for each school. i bet they went to a random party and filmed different shots and said, "this is stanford partying", "this is MIT partying", and "this is brown partying".

This is a great thread-- thanks all!

Good idea to bump this up for prospective applicants!

Invaluable. Laid the foundation for me to pursue my dreams with confidence.

Hi. I'm applying ED this month. Did any of you Bruins apply for financial aid? How did it go? (I am determined to be there next fall.)

Definitely apply for financial aid - it's need blind for freshman, so it won't effect your admission chances.

But I still say don't privatize most things :)

dont get me started on financial aid for transfers

no me :) also a transfer...

were you a counselor?
